Boat Cruises in Cape Town

A harbour cruise or a boat trip along the beautiful coastline of Cape Town is an unforgettable experience. You can take stunning photography of Table Mountain and the Cape Town skyline. With some luck, you can also spot dolphins, seals or whales. Sunset Cruises are particularly popular.

There is a large selection of boat tours on offer. Tourists can enjoy a leisurely cruise in the harbour, a short trip on a sailing boat or catamaran, an action-packed speedboat ride or even a full-day boat tour in the open sea. Most boat cruises depart from the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront (the restaurated harbour area).

Harbour Cruise in Cape Town

This cruise takes around 30 minutes and is done in small boats. From the outer harbour area, you can enjoy great views of the V&A Waterfront, the harbour as well as Table Mountain and Signal Hill in the background.

A Boat Tour in the Table Bay

Various motorboat tours leave from the harbour into the adjacent Table Bay. During this 1-hour cruise, you have stunning views of Cape Town‘s skyline, Table Mountain and Signal Hill. Many boat trips cruise along the Green Point coastline. Here you can see the actual dimensions of the Green Point Stadium, which was upgraded for the Soccer World Cup.

Catamaran Sailing Trip in the Table Bay

The catamaran uses its engine to maneuver out of the harbour area. In the open sea, the sail is hoisted and you can enjoy a 1-hour sailing trip in the Table Bay. Due to being weather-dependend, the exact routes of these sailing trips may vary.
